It was right around then that McBride was stricken with a degenerative eye disease, which eventually claimed his sight. His passion was undeterred & he continued his studies at the Missouri School for the Blind and then at Webster University where he majored in jazz performance. ... more about JM .

Big Slick - Joe McBride:
Featured on our Best of '05 Review Part 3: Edition 394 - Jan. 29th, 2006

Texas Hold'em is the variant of poker that's recently been responsible for its unsurpassed popularity not only as a game but also as a spectator sport. It's also the name of the latest recorded effort from Joe McBride. On this, his seventh release for Heads Up International, McBride has fashioned a truly unique project as he renders for our consideration a classic set!! However, the titles themselves only hint at some of the fun as far from trying to cashing in on the popularity of poker McBride presents one of his finest overall efforts to date!!

It was back in about 1983, that McBride moved to San Diego, where he soon connected with Steve Laury & the band Fattburger who were then still very early in their careers. He might have continued in that fertile environment had it not been for a fateful trip to Dallas. What had been ... continued reading .
