Featured on our Best of '05 Review Part 3: Edition 394 - Jan. 29th, 2006

Here Comes the Night - 3rd Force:
Featured on Back Trax: Edition 372 - August 21st, 2005

3rd Force has been, for lack of a better phrase, a tour de force in the world of Smooth Jazz for the past 10 years or more. Band members William Aura, Craig Dobbin & Alain Eskinasi come from highly varied backgrounds that range from new age & classical music to African music, & as such have often produced efforts that straddle many boundaries. The tune that we've selected on this occasion is from Force of Nature, their sophomore release. It's Here Comes the Night, the track that broke the sound of the force onto the scene back in 1995 & features none other than Peter White on both guitar & accordion !!

Showcased on Edition 359 - April 17th, 2005

For the past 10 years or more, 3rd Force has been a mainstay in Smooth Jazz. It was their second album that broke the sound of the Force onto the scene with a tune featuring Peter White that received major airplay. In spite of the tremendous success of that & their following releases, 3rd Force had operated strictly as a studio project until their live debut in 2002 at the Catalina Island Jazz Trax Festival.

At its nucleus, 3rd Force is propelled by the synergy generated by the trio of William Aura, Craig Dobbin, and Alain Eskinasi.

Aura is considered a pioneer of New Age music. He has always been a strong believer in it's healing powers and many of his compositions were specifically composed for the healing arts. The Detroit-native enjoyed a significant solo career read more.
